> FBA and Cambrian Printers up for prestigious PR Award
Aberystwyth based PR and Marketing Company FBA is in the UK final for a highly acclaimed Chartered Institute for Public Relations President's Grand Prix Award.
In November 2007, the company took the top Gold Award for Best Business and Trade Public Relations for their work for Cambrian Printers and a Silver Award for Community Relations for a wind farm project Mynydd y Gwynt.
The CIPR President's Awards are held annually to recognise best practice public relations success and achievement in Britain. This year a total of 1456 entries were received. The judging process is rigorous with a UK panel of industry experts assessing entries and choosing finalists. The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme that showcases the best PR work being done outside of London.
All of the gold award winners from each of the regional and national 2007 CIPR PRide Awards will now compete head-to-head at a national level to see who will take the crown in 21 of the PRide categories. On Thursday 6 March 2008 the cream of the public relations and communications industry will gather at the Town Hall, Victoria Square, Birmingham, to celebrate the Annual CIPR President's Grand Prix Awards.
Sue Balsom, Managing Director of FBA said, "We are thrilled to be in the finals of this top award. Our staff have done a brilliant job for Cambrian Printers."
Commenting on the nomination, Robert Read Company Chairman and Managing Director for Cambrian Printers said, "We're delighted with the service provided by FBA and are not at all surprised that it is now recognised as award winning, we wish them well in the President's Awards and look forward to helping them celebrate."
CIPR President Elisabeth Lewis-Jones said, "The Grand Prix Awards are all about celebrating...celebrating the good PR work being carried out across the UK; celebrating the contribution public relations makes to business and society; and celebrating the sharing of best practice and the raising of industry standards.
"The President's Grand Prix not only allows all PRide Awards winners to take part in a national competition but it also enables the PR industry to showcase and celebrate our growing, professional and highly sophisticated industry."
